The overwhelming collection of flora in Gir National Park attracts tourists worldwide. More than 400 plant species have been identified in the Gir forest. Teak-bearing areas are mainly in the eastern portion of the forest, which constitutes nearly half of the forest's total area. Abundant species are present such as acacia, the flame of the forest, zizyphus, tendu, Jambu, Karanj, Umro, Vad, Kalam, Charal, Siris, and Amli. Topography of Sasan Gir

Gir Forests has a topography made up of successive rugged ridges, isolated hills, plateaus and valleys. Besides, being the last abode of Asiatic lions, Gir Forests forms a unique habitat for many mammals, reptiles, birds and insect species along with a rich variety of flora.
